Transfer request to West Ham needed – Player needs to play part in transfer

Beşiktaş pursuing West Ham defender Mavropanos in January, but Hammers resistant; player's transfer request could unlock the deal.

Beşiktaş continue their pursuit of West Ham centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos ahead of the January transfer window, despite the London club's reluctance to sell. The 28-year-old Greek international has impressed this season with 13 appearances, five goals and an assist under Nuno Espírito Santo, convincing the Turkish club to make a move.

West Ham are taking a tough stance on his departure and have no intention of letting him leave easily. However, Beşiktaş officials have made contact with Mavropanos's agents to gauge his interest in a January move. The report suggests that if the player were to formally request a transfer from West Ham, it would significantly improve Beşiktaş's chances of securing him. A high financial offer could also persuade the Hammers to reconsider, but without the player's backing, the operation remains complicated.
