Bournemouth 'doing everything' to block Man United signing Marcus Tavernier

Bournemouth determined to resist Manchester United's interest in midfielder Marcus Tavernier, who has scored five goals in eight Premier League games this season.

Manchester United are among several Premier League clubs monitoring Marcus Tavernier's performances for Bournemouth, with scouts impressed by his consistency and versatility. The 27-year-old midfielder has had an outstanding season, scoring five goals in eight league games, including one at Old Trafford.

However, Bournemouth have made clear they have no intention of selling Tavernier and will do everything in their power to keep him at the club. Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that the Cherries view Tavernier as crucial to manager Marco Rose's ambitious plans as they look to build on last season's Europa League-qualifying campaign. Bournemouth have already lost multiple key players in recent seasons and are determined not to lose another star player.

While Bournemouth may find it difficult to block interest from a club the size of Manchester United, they remain hopeful of retaining Tavernier and are not expected to entertain any offers for his signature.
