Carrión counts on Morata again, but won't reveal if he'll play

Carrión confirmed Morata is available after suspension but kept his starting lineup secret ahead of Monday's trip to Valladolid.

Leganés manager Luis Carrión held his pre-match press conference on Saturday ahead of Monday's fixture against Valladolid. He expressed confidence in his team's chances, praising their commitment, work ethic and personality, while acknowledging Valladolid as a well-coached side that poses threats in transition play.

Carrión confirmed that Álvaro Morata is available after completing a one-match suspension, but refused to reveal whether the striker would start. "If I tell you Morata plays on Monday, I'd have to call Valladolid's manager and tell him too," he joked. The manager highlighted the attacking options at his disposal, including Morata, Álex Millán (who scored in the recent draw with Mallorca), Unax Artolazabal, Patrick Soko and Sule, noting he must decide on the system that best suits the opposition.

Carrión also discussed Ismael Gharbi's best position as close to the forwards as possible, either as a number ten or from the left wing, and praised Naim García's versatility as a winger. Around 500 Leganés supporters will travel to Valladolid for the match.
