Haissem Hassan addresses two Celtic narratives about himself head on in brutally honest assessment

Egyptian winger addresses criticism over lack of goals and assists since summer move, insisting the numbers will come as he settles at Celtic Park.

Haissem Hassan has opened up on his early struggles at Celtic following his £6million switch from Real Oviedo in the summer. The Egyptian winger has impressed with his dribbling but faces questions over his end product, with no goals and limited assists so far. Hassan came close to his first Celtic goal in Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Dundee United and believes it is only a matter of time before he finds the net.

Hassan acknowledged he needs to improve defensively and adapt to Scottish football, with manager Martin O'Neill pushing him to track back more effectively. He praised the guidance of assistant Shaun Maloney, a former winger, and noted the competition for places among Celtic's attacking players is driving standards up. Hassan is settling into life in Glasgow with his family and is determined to prove his doubters wrong with goals and assists.
