Peter heavily disappointed in ADO: 'Unacceptable, we have no chance playing like this'

ADO Den Haag lost 1-0 to PEC Zwolle; manager Robin Peter criticises his team's intensity, defending and passing as unacceptable.

ADO Den Haag suffered a 1-0 defeat at PEC Zwolle on Sunday, with Dylan Mbayo scoring the decisive goal just before half-time. An early Evan Rottier goal for ADO was ruled out for offside.

Manager Robin Peter was scathing in his assessment, telling ESPN the performance was unacceptable across all aspects. "We showed nothing of what we wanted to show," he said. "The intensity, the fighting spirit… how we defend, our counterpressing, our defensive shape. Without the ball it was really not good and with the ball it wasn't Eredivisie standard either. How we finish, our passing, our crosses — so many mistakes. Really unacceptable."

Peter acknowledged his responsibility and warned of consequences if ADO continue in this vein. "We must change a lot because if we play like this we have no chance," he said. Captain Pascal Mulder echoed the sentiment, noting these matches against direct rivals are crucial and ADO must do better.
