Amad sums up Man United mood with 33-word statement after Bryan Mbeumo comments

Amad and Mbeumo issued defiant statements after United's 2-0 loss to Chelsea extended their winless run to nine matches.

Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat at Chelsea, with goals from Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer (penalty) extending their winless streak to nine matches. Winger Amad responded with a defiant Instagram post: "Difficult days weigh on us, but they will never erase what unites us. The joy of winning again will be all the greater for having waited for it together. I have such faith."

Forward Bryan Mbeumo acknowledged United's first-half dominance but lamented their lack of clinical finishing. "We've done a lot of right things, especially in the first half when we could have been up 1-0 or 2-0," he said. "The mentality was there. Everyone worked really hard and we still have to modify some bits on the training ground."

Manager Michael Carrick will remain in charge through the international break, with Roma and Aston Villa to come.
