Napoli target Tottenham player for rebuild – Spurs demands will be key

Napoli monitoring Tottenham midfielder Bergvall as potential summer target; Swedish talent has played under 150 PL minutes this season.

Lucas Bergvall was linked with an exit from Tottenham in the summer, with Italian clubs showing interest in the Swedish midfielder. Although he ultimately stayed at Spurs, his game time has remained limited under Roberto De Zerbi, playing less than 150 minutes in the Premier League this season.

Napoli are now closely monitoring Bergvall as part of a potential midfield rebuild. Sporting director Giovanni Manna is keen to strengthen the midfield after facing potential departures: André-Frank Zambo Anguissa's contract expires in summer 2027, Stanislav Lobotka is yet to renew, and there are doubts over Kevin De Bruyne's future. The interest is in its initial stages but could develop further.

Napoli are also tracking Boca Juniors' Tomás Arandá and Cagliari's Alessandro Romano. Manna has a track record of successfully recruiting from English clubs, with McTominay and Zambo Anguissa as examples. However, Tottenham's financial demands will be crucial, particularly if they prioritize Premier League offers.
