Spalletti: "Deserved win over Napoli, but we must hold firm because we're in difficulty"

Spalletti praised his players' second-half performance after Juventus beat Napoli 2-0, but acknowledged the club is going through a difficult period and needs unity.

Juventus bounced back from their defeat at Genoa with a 2-0 home victory over Napoli at the Allianz Stadium. Manager Luciano Spalletti credited his players for earning the win, particularly highlighting their improved performance in the second half when they controlled the tempo and made smart tactical choices.

Spalletti acknowledged Juventus are facing a challenging period, with several forced substitutions due to injuries and illness—he had to replace McKennie because Sarr had a fever. With another match coming Thursday, the manager emphasized the need for the squad to stay united and resilient. He called on the Allianz Stadium to be a fortress again and thanked supporters who backed the team despite recent struggles. "We need to hold together and have the nerve to try to win even when we're not favorites on paper, because we're in difficulty as men and as a group," Spalletti said.
