Atlético Madrid arrives at a pivotal week on an impressive run of nine consecutive matches without defeat, comprising eight victories and one draw. The Spanish side will host Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the Champions League before facing Barcelona at the Metropolitano on Sunday in La Liga.

In the Champions League, Atlético sits in 16th place with four points from their opening matches, one point behind Bayern and two points outside the automatic qualification spots. Their only draw came against Stuttgart in Germany, where Julián Álvarez equalized after they fell behind in the first half. In La Liga, however, Atlético has been dominant, winning seven consecutive games with impressive scorelines including a 4-0 victory over Osasuna and a 2-1 win against Real Madrid.

During this nine-game unbeaten streak, Atlético has scored 18 goals while keeping six clean sheets. Alejandro Grimaldo leads the scoring with four goals, followed by Jonathan David with three. The team has shown resilience, scoring first in eight of the nine matches and winning all eight of those games. Midfielder Alejandro Grimaldo emphasized the importance of patience, noting that both competitions are long and the focus must remain on taking matches one at a time.
