OM 2-0 Toulouse: "We retreated a bit," Genesio admits after Angers "trauma"

Genesio admits Marseille were cautious in the second half, citing psychological impact from Angers' near-comeback the previous week.

Olympique de Marseille defeated Toulouse 2-0, but manager Bruno Genesio acknowledged his side became overly defensive in the second half. In his post-match press conference, Genesio revealed the team was still affected by the trauma of Angers' dramatic comeback attempt seven days earlier, when the visitors nearly erased a four-goal deficit. That psychological hangover led to a more withdrawn approach as Marseille protected their lead rather than pushing for more goals.
