If Zidane needs him, he will be ready, Brest backs Ajorque for France

Ajorque scored in Brest's 2-0 win over Lorient and is being backed by his club for France selection ahead of Nations League matches against Italy and Turkey.

Ludovic Ajorque scored a fine goal as Brest won 2-0 at Lorient on Monday, putting the 32-year-old striker in contention for Zinédine Zidane's France squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures against Italy on November 12 and Turkey on November 15. The selection will be announced Friday at 6pm.

Brest manager Julien Lachuer praised Ajorque's qualities, saying if Zidane needs him, he will be ready. "He's a player who makes the collective better," Lachuer said. "He has this game intelligence and sense of the collective. If the manager needs a presence, someone who attracts the ball and makes others better, Ludo is available."

Ajorque, who has never been called up to France despite a strong Ligue 1 record (46 goals in 135 matches for Strasbourg, 25 in 72 for Brest), has four goals and two assists this season. Teammate Lucas Tousart also backed him, saying he is capable of unlocking matches with the right moment.
