Piers Morgan reveals Cristiano Ronaldo response to new Erik ten Hag row

Ronaldo dismissed Ten Hag's recent criticism as unworthy of response, telling Piers Morgan the former manager isn't worth discussing.

Erik ten Hag reignited his feud with Cristiano Ronaldo last week, claiming the Portugal legend 'could no longer deliver' when he rejoined Manchester United in 2021 and criticising his training intensity and commitment. Ten Hag also suggested Ronaldo's career peaked at Real Madrid and declined from Juventus onwards.

In response, Ronaldo told Piers Morgan he considers Ten Hag beneath acknowledgment. Morgan defended Ronaldo's record at United, noting he scored 18 Premier League goals and six Champions League goals in his final full season, and argued the forward could have given the club another two or three productive years with proper management.

The tension between the pair dates to Ronaldo's departure in November 2022, when he told Morgan he felt disrespected and betrayed by Ten Hag and others at the club. Ronaldo has since moved to Al-Nassr, where he won the Saudi Pro League title.
