Lyon: Bojan Zekovic, one of academy's biggest talents, set to be dismissed for disciplinary reasons

The 16-year-old French U17 international and one of Lyon's top academy prospects is being dismissed for disciplinary reasons.

Olympique Lyonnais is terminating the contract of Bojan Zekovic, 16, following a disciplinary procedure at the club's academy. The French U17 international, born in 2010, is considered one of the biggest prospects in Lyon's youth system and his generation. Standing 1.87m tall, Zekovic made two appearances for Lyon's U19 side at the end of last season and scored against Metz in early September. He earned his first France U17 cap on 6 October in a 5-1 defeat to the Netherlands.

The dismissal is a significant decision given Zekovic's potential. Monaco had been linked with the player, but the club has denied any contact and is being cautious given the circumstances of his departure from Lyon.
