Van Bommel takes Belgium staff on team outing to PSV

Belgium manager Van Bommel attended PSV's Champions League match against Club Brugge with his coaching staff for a team-building evening, also watching his son Ruben and several of his internationals in action.

Mark van Bommel, Belgium's manager since summer, organised a team-building evening for his coaching staff at PSV's Philips Stadion on Wednesday, combining business with pleasure by watching his son Ruben play for PSV against Club Brugge in the Champions League.

The evening began with dinner in the Legends Lounge before the match, with Van Bommel flanked by his full coaching staff including Boudewijn Zenden, Reinier Robbemond and Maarten Martens. The fixture also gave him the chance to observe several of his Belgium internationals in action: Hans Vanaken, Kyriani Sabbe, Brandon Mechele and Joaquin Seys all featured for Club Brugge.

Following the match, Van Bommel will finalise his Belgium squad selection, which will be announced on Friday afternoon. The upcoming international break includes Nations League fixtures against Turkey and Italy.
