Courtois: "Believing until the end is the DNA of this club"

Real Madrid came from 2-1 down to beat AEK Athens 3-2 in the Champions League, keeping their top-eight hopes alive with two matches remaining.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois praised his team's resilience after a 3-2 comeback victory against AEK Athens in the Champions League. "Believing until the end is the DNA of this club," Courtois said, highlighting the team's refusal to surrender despite falling behind.

AEK started aggressively and created four chances in the opening 15 minutes, but Madrid improved after the break. When AEK made it 2-1, Madrid responded quickly to level at 2-2 before securing the winner. Courtois noted the importance of the result for their pursuit of a top-eight finish, which would spare them a playoff round. "We need to win and be in the top eight, where we haven't been the last two years," he said.

Madrid still face PSV at home and Arsenal away. Courtois also defended Vinícius Júnior, who went without a goal but faced tight marking from AEK's defence. "We have full confidence in Vinícius," the goalkeeper concluded.
