Kochorashvili attends funeral of Jesús de Miguel

Sevilla midfielder Kochorashvili attended the funeral of former teammate Jesús de Miguel, who died from cardiac arrest after a collision during a Tenerife match.

Sevilla midfielder Giorgio Kochorashvili was granted permission by the club to miss Thursday's training session to attend the funeral of Jesús de Miguel, the Tenerife player who died from cardiac arrest following a collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono during a recent match.

Kochorashvili and De Miguel were teammates at CD Castellón during the 2022–23 season in Primera RFEF, and the midfielder has been deeply affected by the news. He travelled to Navalhermosa, Toledo, accompanied by Pablo Blanco, Sevilla's institutional relations officer.

Despite his absence from training, Kochorashvili is not ruled out for Sevilla's Friday fixture against Alavés at the Sánchez-Pizjuán under manager Luis García Plaza.
