Burgos to donate Tenerife match gate receipts to family of Jesús de Miguel

Burgos will donate all ticket revenue from their March 20-21 match against Tenerife to the family of deceased player Jesús de Miguel.

Burgos CF has announced it will donate the entire gate receipts from its LaLiga Hypermotion matchday 31 fixture against CD Tenerife to the family of Jesús de Miguel, a footballer who has passed away. The match will take place at El Plantío stadium on the weekend of March 20-21, 2027.

The club said in a statement: "The loss of Demi has hit us all. Behind the footballer is a family going through immense pain and a daughter to whom we want to show our affection and support with this gesture." Burgos acknowledged that no financial aid can compensate for the loss of a father, but highlighted football's ability to mobilize thousands of people and support those facing difficult situations.

The club hopes El Plantío will become "a great embrace from the entire Burgos family" during the match and has encouraged fans to participate, with each ticket sold contributing to economic support for the family. Burgos has also extended its condolences to de Miguel's relatives and to CD Tenerife's players and supporters.
