Ancelotti and Raphinha discuss managing physical load with Brazil

Raphinha revealed he has discussed managing his playing time with Brazil coach Ancelotti ahead of the international break, as he continues recovery from injury.

Raphinha addressed the upcoming international break during his contract renewal press conference with Barcelona, disclosing conversations with Carlo Ancelotti about managing his minutes with Brazil.

The 29-year-old winger explained that Ancelotti understands the need to rotate playing time to avoid physical risks. "A injury, also for Brazil, wouldn't come at my best physical moment," Raphinha said. "We've talked. I'm recovering from an injury. I'm very well, but not at 100%. Barcelona fans shouldn't worry—I always do my maximum to be physically well."

Raphinha will travel to Singapore from Monday for Brazil's international fixtures against Singapore and Japan. He previously suffered an injury during Brazil's September friendlies in Australia.
