Athletic nurtures young Imga

The 17-year-old winger has made his Athletic Bilbao debut and been called up to Spain's U-17 World Cup squad in Qatar.

Christian Imga, a 17-year-old winger from Athletic Bilbao's academy, has begun to attract attention after making his first-team debut. He has been included in Spain's squad for the U-17 World Cup in Qatar, running from 19 November to 13 December. Imga, who stands 1.90m tall, is still in his development phase. He featured in Bilbao Athletic's recent match against Cacereño but was substituted in the 35th minute after struggling physically, though he returned to training under manager Terzic on Tuesday. Fellow Athletic prospect Darlington, a goalkeeper from the U-19 squad who joined from Manchester United this summer, has also been selected for the tournament.
