"He was considered a star" – Tottenham player disappoints journalist, given 30/100

Dragusin has struggled at Fiorentina on loan from Tottenham, with journalist Calamai rating his performances as disappointing despite high pre-injury expectations.

Radu Dragusin's move to Fiorentina on loan from Tottenham has not gone to plan so far. The centre-back joined the Serie A club on an initial loan with an obligation to buy after failing to establish himself in London following a serious knee injury that derailed his progress.

Journalist Luca Calamai told FirenzeViola that he expected much more from the 24-year-old Romanian, rating his performances at just 30 out of 100. Calamai noted that Dragusin has had only one genuinely good game so far — against Napoli — and suggested the upcoming clash against Juventus could be crucial for his Fiorentina career.

"Until a couple of years ago he was considered a potential star, he went to Tottenham, then his knee broke and we know that type of injury affects a player for about a year," Calamai said. Despite the criticism, Dragusin has started every Serie A game this season, suggesting Fiorentina remain committed to him. Tottenham stand to receive €17.5m if the obligation to buy is triggered.
