Cunha taunts Balerdi on social media after Manchester United-Roma

Cunha scored twice in Manchester United's 3-2 Champions League win over Roma, then posted a provocative comment on Balerdi's social media after being sent off for a challenge on the defender.

Matheus Cunha and Leonardo Balerdi's clash at Old Trafford extended beyond the final whistle. The Manchester United forward scored twice to seal a 3-2 Champions League victory, with Balerdi's errors contributing to both goals—a slip that led to the first and poor positioning for the second. Tension boiled over late in the match when Cunha was sent off for a reckless challenge on the Roma defender. After the game, Cunha commented "crack" (slang for star player) on Balerdi's post expressing disappointment at the result and thanking Roma's travelling supporters. Roma fans interpreted the comment as mockery rather than praise, given Balerdi's difficult performance and the circumstances of their clash.
