Sources: Leeds star could be cast aside as Joe Rodon update emerges

Rodon returns to full fitness this weekend, likely pushing Bijol further down Leeds' centre-back pecking order despite his contract until 2030.

Leeds defender Jaka Bijol faces an uncertain future at Elland Road as Joe Rodon nears his return from a 10-week hamstring injury sustained in late August. Rodon is set to rejoin the squad this weekend against Tottenham, having missed the bulk of the season.

Bijol has struggled for minutes even during Rodon's absence, starting just two games across league and cup while James Justin, Nico Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic have been preferred. With Rodon's imminent return, the 27-year-old is expected to fall further down Daniel Farke's centre-back pecking order.

Although Bijol remains under contract until 2030 and Leeds do not plan to sell him in January, continued struggles for game time could prompt concerns from his camp about his long-term prospects at the club.
