Andoni Iraola has already shown what Liverpool had lost ahead of Crystal Palace test

Iraola prepares Liverpool for a tough away trip to Crystal Palace after back-to-back defeats, drawing on his experience of winning similar Premier League battles.

Andoni Iraola has already demonstrated his Premier League credentials since taking over as Liverpool manager, delivering the kind of workmanlike away performances that eluded his predecessor Arne Slot. While Slot struggled against physical sides like Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton, Iraola has beaten all three this season, showcasing his understanding of the modern English game.

Liverpool head to Selhurst Park on Sunday looking to respond after consecutive defeats to Arsenal and Fenerbahce. Iraola acknowledged the need for a reaction, referencing similar situations his team has navigated successfully, including tough away wins at Brentford and Bournemouth. He expects Crystal Palace to set up compactly under Pierre Sage, with the pitch dimensions at Selhurst Park creating quick transitions into the box.

Defender Ronald Araujo, who has impressed since joining on loan from Barcelona and was voted Liverpool's player of the month for October, is likely to return after being rested in midweek. The Uruguayan has already contributed two goals in the Champions League and expressed his gratitude for the club's support.
