Mourinho: "Don't be sad because my players are much better than yours"

Mourinho told Atlante manager Aguirre after Real Madrid's 3-2 win at Mestalla that his players are superior, attributing success to squad quality over coaching.

Real Madrid won 3-2 at Valencia in a match marked by controversial refereeing decisions and heated exchanges between Valencia's sporting director and officials. After the final whistle, Mourinho revealed his post-match conversation with Atlante manager Javier Aguirre in the tunnel. "I told my friend Aguirre: don't be sad because my players are much better than yours," Mourinho said in his press conference. He elaborated on the importance of having elite talent, acknowledging Aguirre as an experienced coach but emphasizing that Real Madrid's advantage lies in player quality. "The truth is that Real Madrid's players are very good. Coaches who have players like mine are closer to winning," he added.
