Real Madrid's 'Maffeo' has such hatred for them

Real Madrid won 3-0 at Valencia but tensions flared at half-time, with defender Pablo Maffeo refusing a post-match interview and drawing criticism from ex-Madrid player Marcelo.

Real Madrid secured a comfortable 3-0 victory at Valencia, but the match was marred by tension and an unusual incident involving Valencia defender Pablo Maffeo at half-time. When approached for an interview by DAZN, Maffeo refused, saying "I don't feel like doing this interview, I think this interview is shit and doesn't belong here." His dismissive attitude drew widespread criticism, including from former Real Madrid player Marcelo, who posted on X: "How much Maffeo hates Real Madrid, my God." The poor relationship between Maffeo and Real Madrid is not new; the defender had previous run-ins with the club when he played for Mallorca.
