The 22-year-old ex-Barcelona Atlètic player made his Argentina debut as a starter in a 4-0 win over Bolivia, becoming one of 70 new caps under manager Lionel Scaloni.

Román Gabriel Vega, 22, made his Argentina senior debut as a starter in a 4-0 victory over Bolivia at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Córdoba. The midfielder, who spent the 2022–23 season on loan at Barcelona Atlètic from Argentinos Juniors, played the full 90 minutes and was the only debutant to start the match. Four other players also earned their first caps as substitutes. Vega becomes one of 70 new internationals Lionel Scaloni has blooded since taking charge in 2018.
