Wealdstone's Barrett out with serious knee injury

Wealdstone defender Mason Barrett ruptured his ACL during Tuesday's National League match at Forest Green.

Wealdstone defender Mason Barrett has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, sustaining the injury shortly after coming on as a substitute in Tuesday's 1-1 National League draw at Forest Green. The 27-year-old had featured in 10 of the club's first 11 league games this season. Manager Gary Waddock expressed his support, saying Barrett is a strong character who will receive full backing from the club during his recovery.
