Angus Gunn dodges Scotland bullet as Sebastien Pocognoli makes Ben Gannon Doak wait

Scotland manager Pocognoli backs Angus Gunn to start against North Macedonia despite criticism over the Switzerland defeat.

Scotland manager Sebastien Pocognoli has confirmed Angus Gunn will retain the No. 1 shirt for Saturday's Nations League match against North Macedonia in Skopje. Despite coming under fire following Scotland's loss to Switzerland, Pocognoli expressed full support for the San Jose Earthquakes keeper, praising his performance in Slovenia and his stability in training. The new manager, who took over from Steve Clarke, is keen to avoid making hasty changes early in his tenure and believes his players need support as they adapt to his different, more demanding tactical approach.
