Pocognoli insists Scotland rebrand is on track despite bleak Nations League outlook

Scotland manager Pocognoli says his side must win both remaining Nations League games and hope Slovenia slip up to finish second in the group.

Scotland manager Sebastien Pocognoli has acknowledged his team's slim chances of finishing second in their Nations League group after a defeat to Slovenia on Tuesday left them with just four points from four games. With two matches remaining against North Macedonia and Switzerland, Pocognoli says Scotland must win both and rely on Slovenia dropping points to claim the runners-up spot and secure a pot two seeding for Euro 2024 qualifying. The manager admitted his new-look side must improve across all aspects of play.
