Kylian Mbappé continued his recovery from a knee injury at Real Madrid's training ground on Tuesday, working in the gym rather than on the pitch. The French forward trained alone on Monday and rejoined the group on Tuesday but remained off the grass, following a personalized recovery plan. Real Madrid are optimistic that Mbappé will be available for Saturday's match against Villarreal at the Bernabéu (21:00). Midfielder Valverde is also sidelined with an injury from the derby against Atlético Madrid but the club expects him to be ready for the weekend fixture.
