Sporting director move a positive one - Brady

Port Vale manager Jon Brady welcomes the appointment of Micky Moore as sporting director, saying it will strengthen the connection between the boardroom and squad.

Port Vale have appointed Micky Moore as sporting director, reviving the role after relegation from League One last season. Moore, formerly director of football at Shrewsbury Town, will oversee the club's entire football operation including recruitment. Manager Jon Brady told BBC Radio Stoke he views the appointment positively, describing Moore as an important conduit between the boardroom and the pitch. Vale have won just once in seven League Two games this season.
