Man United handed update on sensational Scott McTominay return after transfer 'enquiry'

United have enquired about re-signing McTominay amid his contract stand-off with Napoli; Aston Villa and Real Madrid also interested.

Scott McTominay is at the centre of transfer speculation after a contract dispute with Napoli. Manchester United, Aston Villa and Real Madrid have all enquired about the Scotland midfielder, who left Old Trafford for €30.5 million in summer 2024. McTominay's representatives are in dialogue with several Premier League clubs, and the player is reportedly open to a return. A potential departure could happen as early as January if his contract situation with Napoli remains unresolved.
