Sources: Man United's chances of pulling off Scott McTominay deal revealed

Manchester United unlikely to pursue McTominay despite links; club prioritizing younger midfielders over the 29-year-old.

Manchester United have been linked with re-signing Scott McTominay following his return to Napoli training after heart surgery, but sources indicate the move is unlikely. United's recruitment strategy focuses on adding younger talent, and the 29-year-old McTominay—who turns 30 in December—does not fit the profile of midfielder the club wants to sign. McTominay underwent a minor procedure to correct irregular heart rhythms last month and is set to return to action soon.
