Tagliafico joins Messi: "Spain outplayed us tactically, played much better than us"

Tagliafico echoes Messi's assessment, admitting Spain's tactical superiority in the 2026 World Cup final and Argentina's poor performance.

Nicolás Tagliafico has joined Lionel Messi in acknowledging Spain's dominance in the 2026 World Cup final. Speaking on the ClankJPV show, the left-back conceded that Spain outplayed Argentina tactically and maintained possession throughout the match, while Argentina struggled to find rhythm. Tagliafico attributed the team's poor showing to physical and mental fatigue accumulated over the tournament, explaining that the final felt drastically different from their earlier matches. Both players have now publicly dismissed conspiracy theories about Argentina's performance, accepting the reality of Spain's superior display.
