Fans help pay for Jarvis signing to Merthyr

Cole Jarvis returns to Merthyr Town on loan from Newport County until January, with the move enabled by supporter donations to the club's budget.

Newport County midfielder Cole Jarvis has completed a loan return to Merthyr Town until January. The 25-year-old, who joined Newport from Merthyr at the start of 2026 and has made four appearances this season, moves back to his former club after Merthyr supporters donated to a fund to boost manager Paul Michael's transfer budget. Michael praised both the supporters' contributions and Newport County for allowing Jarvis competitive minutes. Jarvis will be available for Merthyr's National League North fixture at Darlington on Saturday.
