Liverpool named 'leading contender' in Alex Scott race - 'I think it'll happen'

Liverpool are considered leading contenders to sign Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, according to scout Bryan King. The 23-year-old rejected a £64 million Chelsea bid in the summer transfer window and has just two years remaining on his contract. Bournemouth are expected to acknowledge next year that a sale will be inevitable if Scott does not sign a new deal. Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola previously managed Scott at Bournemouth and oversaw his development after his 2023 arrival from Bristol City.
