English club to operate without manager: 'We have no vacancy'

Forest Green Rovers will operate without a permanent manager after Robbie Savage's departure, with owner Dale Vince experimenting with a staff-led approach.

Forest Green Rovers has decided not to immediately replace manager Robbie Savage, who left for Peterborough. Owner Dale Vince announced the club will instead operate with a collaborative leadership model, with staff members Josh Bowen, Yan Klukowski and Jonathan Gould making sporting decisions together. Vince told BBC Radio the club has no vacancy and no managerial candidates are being considered, as he questions whether high-ego managers lead to better decisions. The experiment will continue at the National League club, currently in 16th place, to see if a permanent manager is genuinely needed.
