The Rangers tactical evolution that should have fans excited as explosive Penrice performance unleashed by key change

Rangers' tactical adjustments against Kilmarnock, particularly James Penrice's repositioning as a creative force, showcased manager McInnes' evolving strategy.

Rangers secured their seventh consecutive win against Kilmarnock with tactical tweaks that revealed deeper strategic thinking beyond their basic 4-2-3-1 shape. Manager McInnes made key changes from the Celtic match, repositioning left-back James Penrice from an auxiliary midfielder role into a more creative attacking position down the left flank. While the second-half performance was uninspiring, the underlying gameplan execution was sound, with Penrice emerging as a potent creative force and potentially McInnes' signing of the season.
