Steven Gerrard told to seek different managerial opportunity instead of Wrexham job

Cascarino suggests Gerrard should avoid the Wrexham job, citing his mixed managerial record at Villa and Al-Ettifaq despite success at Rangers.

TalkSPORT's Tony Cascarino has advised Steven Gerrard against taking the Wrexham manager's job, despite the Welsh club's position coming under scrutiny following a poor start to the Championship season. Wrexham have won just two of their opening ten games, and current manager Phil Parkinson faces increased pressure ahead of Saturday's home clash against Preston. While Cascarino acknowledged Gerrard's success at Rangers and Liverpool's academy, he pointed to disappointing spells at Aston Villa and Saudi side Al-Ettifaq as reasons to seek a different opportunity, though he noted that managerial failure is part of the learning process.
