Alonso praises Hato and gives update on Martínez after nasty collision

Alonso praised Hato's performance and assist in Chelsea's win over Everton, but goalkeeper Martínez was taken to hospital with a head injury after a collision.

Chelsea defeated Everton with goals from Pedro Neto, who was set up by Jorrel Hato in his first start since September. Manager Xabi Alonso praised Hato's display and the attacking performance of Neto, Palmer, João Pedro and Rogers. The victory was marred by goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez suffering a head injury after colliding with Jarrad Branthwaite; he was taken to hospital for assessment but remained conscious. Mike Penders replaced him for the final quarter.
