Etete impact eases Newport's Doidge injury concerns

Kion Etete scored on his Newport debut as the Cardiff loanee eases concerns over Christian Doidge's groin injury.

Newport County lost experienced striker Christian Doidge to a groin injury in the first nine minutes of their League Two match against Colchester on 10 October. Fellow Cardiff City loanee Kion Etete has provided immediate relief, scoring less than two minutes after coming on in Saturday's 1-1 draw with York City. Manager Hayden Mullins praised Etete's impact after just three days of training, noting his physical presence and aerial threat as a valuable addition while Doidge awaits a scan.
