Lulli's contract extension talks are underway after Gasperini convinced him to stay rather than join Avellino on loan.

Emanuele Lulli was close to joining Avellino on loan during pre-season, but Gian Piero Gasperini intervened, telling the young fullback he would not be leaving. The manager and his assistant Gritti saw Lulli's progress in training and gave him minutes in pre-season friendlies. Lulli made his Serie A debut and has since become Roma's second-most used fullback with 401 minutes across seven league games. Roma's sporting director D'Amico has been negotiating a contract extension for weeks, as Lulli's current deal expires in June 2027.
