Cleverley urges Pepple to 'set tone' for Argyle

Cleverley says top scorer Pepple must regain his hunger after failing to score since returning from a hamstring strain.

Plymouth Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley has called on top scorer Bim Pepple to rediscover his form and intensity following his return from a hamstring injury. Pepple, who had scored six goals in seven games before the injury, has not found the net since coming back and played the full 90 minutes in Tuesday's 3-0 defeat at Stevenage. Cleverley said Pepple needs to "set the tone" as the team's talisman, suggesting the striker may be protecting something physically. Argyle have slipped from top of League One to fifth after consecutive defeats and have now drawn successive league blanks for the first time in almost a year.
