Atlético Mineiro secured their place in the Copa Sudamericana final for the second year running on Wednesday, progressing despite a 2-0 defeat to Montevideo City at the Centenario stadium. Goals from Kevin Silva and Gary Kagelmacher in the final minutes gave the hosts hope, but Atlético's 3-0 advantage from the first leg proved decisive. They will face Argentine side Boca Juniors in the final on November 21 in Barranquilla, seeking to avenge last year's loss to Lanús on penalties.
