Janse marvels at Brandt as teammate: 'It's incredible'

Ajax defender Janse praised German midfielder Brandt after their 1-0 win over Groningen, calling it special to play alongside the Bundesliga signing.

Dies Janse returned to Ajax on Sunday after a loan spell elsewhere, starting in defence against FC Groningen. The Amsterdammers won 1-0, with German midfielder Julian Brandt among the standouts. In a post-match interview, Janse expressed admiration for his new teammate, describing the experience of playing alongside him as "gruelling" in the best sense — highlighting Brandt's technical quality, ball control, and ability to create space and launch attacks. Brandt has scored six Eredivisie goals this season, including two against Groningen, and is currently joint top scorer.
