Cardiff's Robinson dropped due to standards issue

Striker Robinson dropped for Middlesbrough match after breaching internal squad standards, manager Barry-Murphy confirms.

Cardiff City manager Brian Barry-Murphy has confirmed striker Callum Robinson was omitted from the squad for last weekend's 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough due to failing to meet internal squad standards. The 31-year-old, who scored in Cardiff's 5-1 win over Watford on 13 October, was not injured but was deemed unavailable for selection. Barry-Murphy declined to specify the nature of the breach, stating the matter would remain private to the dressing room. Robinson has started just nine league games under Barry-Murphy since his arrival in June 2025, despite being Cardiff's top scorer last season with 12 goals.
