Wolves need a storm to chase the clouds away

Wolves manager Peixoto identifies lack of mobility and missing key players—Jimenez, Trippier, Armstrong—as reasons for recent poor form in the Championship.

Wolves drew 1-1 at home to Portsmouth on Tuesday, extending their run without a win. Manager Cesar Peixoto blamed a lack of mobility and tactical execution, saying the team failed to speed up play and exploit spaces in the first half. The manager also pointed to injuries as a significant factor: Raul Jimenez's return is now expected to be delayed longer than initially thought, Kieran Trippier has missed the last two games, and Adam Armstrong's recent absence highlighted his importance to the side. Peixoto suggested that having these experienced players available would help Wolves navigate tight matches like the one against Portsmouth's defensive setup.
