No reason Pompey can't push for play-offs - Segecic

Segecic backs Pompey's play-off push after climbing to 11th, just two points off the top eight following four unbeaten games.

Portsmouth attacker Adrian Segecic has backed his side's chances of reaching the Championship play-offs this season. The club have climbed from 19th to 11th in the table after taking 10 points from their last four matches, beating Sheffield United, Norwich and Millwall while drawing at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Their only recent defeat came 1-0 away to Southampton on 11 October.

"After the result against Millwall I think that we can definitely achieve where we want to be - play-offs and competing at the top of the table," Segecic told BBC Radio Solent. "I feel like there's no reason that we shouldn't believe that we can and we have shown it now."

Segecic, who has scored three goals and provided an assist in 13 appearances this season, praised the team's response to their south-coast derby loss. "To bounce back and show what we've done the last four games is incredible. Off the back of everyone's heads being so low amongst the fans and in Portsmouth it just shows the kind of team that we are."
