Getafe responds to Bordalás: 'No excuses'

Getafe's official account posts cryptic 'No excuses' message after manager Bordalás blamed the club's planning for the heavy Conference League defeat to Lugano.

Getafe suffered a heavy 5-goal defeat to Lugano in the Conference League, their worst home result since February 2025. Manager José Bordalás responded by criticizing the club's sporting planning and squad depth, claiming he felt 'deceived' by unfulfilled promises. Club president hit back sharply, telling Bordalás to 'have a face like cement.' The club has now posted a cryptic 'No excuses' message on social media ahead of the Athletic Club fixture, an apparent rebuke to the manager's public complaints.
