Lazio top the table, Gattuso preaches calm: "We have nothing to do with it"

Gattuso keeps Lazio grounded after beating Parma 2-1 to go top of Serie A, urging focus on consistency rather than the table.

Lazio moved to the top of Serie A after a 2-1 victory over Parma at the Olimpico in matchday 8. Manager Gennaro Gattuso praised his side's second-half performance but warned against complacency. "We're writing a beautiful story," he said, "but we need to stay focused." Gattuso noted that Lazio were sluggish in the first half but improved significantly after the break, matching their recent form against Juventus where they stayed competitive throughout. He emphasized the importance of maintaining physical intensity and pace, saying the team is dangerous when playing at high tempo but cannot afford to drop below that level. Gattuso also thanked the Curva Nord supporters for their backing.
